KTS Career Coaching

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?
If you want to change careers, know you are not your job title.

If you have recently graduated, know you are not your major.

Start with:
1. Self-reflection
2. Researching Options
3. Conducting informational interviews

Although these steps may sound simple, they take time. Taking career assessments can be a start. Obviously, career ‘tests’ cannot tell you what to do. They can, however, serve as a starting point for discussion. Conducting informational interviews can be gold. Talking to people in fields of interest allows you to ask questions about what you have learned in your research. Too often, people only consider options based on college majors or job titles. It is best to consider how to leverage your experience. Bottom line, many ‘transferable’ skills can be used in many industries.
